Directors Report
Steve happy with his time as director. The division in the black
financially. The previous update was very well received. The John Besford
meeting was successful but slightly more mixed reviews.
The financial meeting was excellent a shame not more take up by members.
Steve thanked Bill for all his hard work with the news letter and sorry he
had stood down, but pleased he is remaining on the board.
Anne Milarvie has shown an interest in taking over Mark to discuss this
with her.
Steve gave his sincere thanks and that of all previous chairmen and
members to Lynton who after 12 years is stepping down from the board and
as treasurer, also thanks to his wife Jane for all her hard work. Having
Mike Smart as book keeper has made the job much simpler now. awaiting
confirmation of a new Treasurer.
Steve has enjoyed his time as director and now looking forward to the
challenge of taking over Nareseh's role in October as Faculty board rep.
Election of offices
Mark Willings was proposed as new chairman by Donald Sloss and 2nd by
Richard Frost.
Board Reports

New Website Launched, 25 November 2005
The FGDP Yorkshire website was recently launched
at the 2005 AGM on 25 November 2005 by Paul Cook,
the Postgraduate Dean at the University of Leeds.
Stephen Byfield, Director of the Yorkshire Division,
demonstrated how the site worked and the facilities
available. |
The new website will be kept up to date with the
latest details on the Yorkshire Masterclass, Update, Workshop, Diploma and other courses. Research papers will
also be available to download. The website also
has a secure members section and forum to promote
discussion among the Yorkshire members. The site
should also pay for itself with sponsored advertising.
The new site will provide greater interactiveness
among its Yorkshire dental community as well as
a much needed, fresher and more professional look
for 2006.
